Finnishing well...
So much emphasis is put on beginning and ending well, it's as if they already expect us to do poorly and be lazy. 'ok we know you're not going to work hard, so just pretend that you want to begin well, slack off throughout the year, and in the last few weeks of school remember that if your GPA isn't high enough you'll spend the rest of your life working at burger king.'
So come the beginning of August we get bused off to play gross games and make the decision to pray about trying to have a 'really great year!'. Then we attend school for a week where we learn repeatedly class guidlines, rules, and grading scales, we take a trip to Bob Jones, Washington D.C., singing tours, Senior trip, sports trips, snow days, fog days, 1/2 days and just the days we really don't feel like being at school, or working hard. (a total of 179 days).
Then that one day not included is the chapel in which we decide, to think about trying to finish off the year well!
note: this was a slight exaggeration, no this is NOT a red flag that i am going to go kill myself!!
Have a really great summer!

well i was worried there for a sec,,, anyway id agree that they normally expect us to slack off. and for the most part, people do. but faith has a hard time with giving anybody the benifit of the doubt. reminds me of a song,,,
wow, speaking of being hypocritical (the subject of my speach devo.) I just bashed on the school and my life and then today yelled at people who hate school and life.
Just slap me right now!
SMACK!!!
"Finishing Well"
This must be the current "Faith" theme. I keep seeing it everywhere.
